The holiday home is located in Massino Visconti, 28040 Novara, Italy.
By Car:
If you are traveling by car from Munich, we recommend passing through Switzerland via the San Bernardino Tunnel. The route continues via Bellinzona and Lugano to Varese, east of Lake Maggiore. Take the highway exit towards A26 Gravellona Toce. You will soon cross the Ticino River in the south of the lake and enter the Piedmont region. Leave the highway at Meina and follow the signs over the Alto Vergante to Massino Visconti.
Don’t forget the vignette for the Swiss highway. If you leave the highway in Austria at the exit Hohenems (or Widnau on the way back), you don’t need a vignette for Austria. The highway is toll-free until Diepoldsau (as of January 7, 2024). In Italy, you usually pay the toll directly at the toll booths on the highway. If you arrive via the route described above, take the Autostrada Pedemontana Lombarda, which is an exception here. There are no toll booths on this highway. The license plate is detected and you have 15 days to pay the fee online.
By Plane or Train:
The nearest airport is Milan Malpensa, about 40 minutes drive from Massino Visconti. If you arrive by train, the nearest train station is in the municipality of Lesa, the next larger train station is in the city of Arona. From these towns there is a bus to Massino about twice a day. If you arrive by public transport, we recommend renting a car on site.
